Color Challenge Week With A Pinwheel Fun Fold!

It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends . It’s all about Stampin’ Up! purples this week with this Color Challenge:

I spied a card on Pinterest and thought the center fold was so neat. All it takes is one sheet of 6 x 6 designer paper, a few cuts, a few folds and finish it off with a few tucks. I’ll show you how!

I used a new bundle that was made available to demonstrators attending an online Stampin’ Up! event. It will be available to you soon in our September–December 2025 Mini Catalog! The bundle is called Peace On Earth and you will fall in love with it.

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Peace On Earth
- Cardstock: Highland Heather, Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Regals
- Inks: Gorgeous Grape
- Tools & Accessories: Peace On Earth Dies, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Here are the steps to completing the neat fold on the front:

- Step 1: Using a 6 x 6 piece of designer paper, score at 1-3/8″ on all four sides.
- Step 2: Cut off each square on all four corners with Paper Snips.
- Step 3: Cut each long tab on each side at an angle starting at the top right corner down to the score line.
- Step 4: Use a Bone Folder to Fold each angled tab.

- Step 5: Cut a layer of cardstock to measure 3-1/2 x 3-1/2. Glue the designer paper to the cardstock square.
- Step 6: Using each angled section, tuck the smallest end under the largest end of the next section. Repeat 4 times.
- Step 7: (Optional) I tucked one Stampin’ Dimensional under each angled cut so it appears raised.
- NOTE: You can also add a piece of cardstock in the center before you fold over all of the tabs!
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Highland Heather Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Gorgeous Grape Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Stamp the leaf image repeatedly on the right side to halfway with Gorgeous Grape Ink. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Glue completed fold to card front at the left.
- Branch: Cut one branch with the die and Fresh Freesia Cardstock. Glue to the opening in the folded section with one Stampin’ Dimensional in the center that will be covered with the dove.
- Dove: Cut one dove with the die and Basic White Cardstock. Glue dove over the branch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Gorgeous Grape Ink on a 1/2″ strip of Fresh Freesia Cardstock. Cut into 2 lines and trim close to the lettering. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
