Masks Theme!
Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week and for this month, this is our new theme:
If you’ve never used our Decorative Masks, I urge you to give them a try. For this week’s card, I opted to use the Thankful Garden Decorative Masks as a background on my Very Vanilla Cardstock layer:
I used the cluster of flowers mask with Basic Beige Ink and a Blending Brush. I also stamped over the masking and added a few layers:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Thankful Garden, Elements Of Text
- Inks: Basic Beige, Memento Black
- Cardstock: Basic Black, Azure Afternoon, Very Vanilla, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Thankful Garden Decorative Masks, Thankful Garden Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Basic Black Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Azure Afternoon Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Follow these steps:
- Very Vanilla Cardstock 4-1/2 x 3-1/4.
- Use a Blending Brush and the mask repeatedly with Basic Beige Ink.
- Stamp the text image with Memento Black Ink in the center.
- Glue to card front with Stampin’Dimensionals.
- Branches: Use the two branch dies with Basic Black and Basic White Cardstocks to cut three total. Glue over the text circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Memento Black Ink on Azure Afternoon Cardstock. Cut around all 4 sides, close to the wording. Glue over the branches by adding Stampin’ Dimensionals on the ends.
