Sunrise Sailing You Deserve The Best!

Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is the group of colorful sailboats:

I used some of the colors from the inspiration photo along with a few diecut sailboats from the Sunrise Sailing Bundle:

I also added some waves with the stamp image and stamped twice without reinking for some lighter coloring:


Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Sunrise Sailing
- Inks: Azure Afternoon, Early Espresso, Soft Sea Foam, Flirty Flamingo, zMisty Moonlight
- Cardstock: Misty Moonlight, Daffodil Delight, Balmy Blue, Soft Sea Foam, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Sunrise Sailing Dies, Sunrise Sailing Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Darling Duckling Faux Linen Ribbon
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Misty Moonlight Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Daffodil Delight Cardstock 4-1/2 x 3-1/4. Emboss with the Sunrise Sailing Embossing Folder. Glue to card base at the top left at an angle.
- Layer 4: Balmy Blue Cardstock 4-1/2 x 3-1/4. Follow these steps:
- Stamp on the lower half with the wave image using Misty Moonlight Ink. Ink twice without reinking for a lighter color. Repeat several times to fill in the bottom.
- Clouds: Cut 1 each using the cloud dies and Basic White Cardstock. Glue to each side and trim off the excess on each end.
- Large Sailboat: Stamp the large sailboat on Soft Sea Foam Cardstock with Soft Sea Foam Ink. Stamp the inside of the sails with Flirty Flamingo Ink. Stamp the bottom of the boat with Azure Afternoon Ink. Cut with the die. Glue with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Small Sailboat: Cut the small sailboat with the die and Daffodil Delight Cardstock. Stamp the bottom of the boat with Early Espresso Ink. Use the same stamp image to add two stripes to the sail with Azure Afternoon Ink. Glue boat to the left of the large boat with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Birds: Stamp the bird image twice with Early Espresso Ink at the top.
- Ribbon: Cut two pieces of ribbon 1″ long. Fold in half and glue to the underside of layer 4 on the bottom right. Glue cardstock layer to card front at the bottom right at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on a 1/4″ strip of Daffodil Delight Cardstock with Early Espresso Ink. Cut into two lines of text and glue over the large sailboat.
