Spotlight On Nature Gardens Theme!
Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week and for this month, our theme is:
The Spotlight On Nature Bundle has some really neat circular dies with details around the outside edges. I used three different sizes on my card front with three different colors:
If you look closely at my butterfly, you’ll see two cardstock layers: one glued flat and the 2nd layer is glued to the butterfly’s body only so I can push it upwards to make it look like it’s in motion:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Spotlight On Nature
- Inks: Old Olive, Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Pie
- Cardstock: Old Olive, Flirty Flamingo, Pumpkin Pie, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Celebratory Sips
- Tools & Accessories: 2025-2027 Flat Pearls, Spotlight On Nature Dies, Paper Snips, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Watercolor Pencils, Blender Pens
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Flirty Flamingo Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Celebratory Sips Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Cut off 2-1/4″ and flip to the reverse side. Glue both layers to card front.
- Diecuts: As follows-
- Basic White Cardstock cut with the 2-3/4″ circle die. Stamp the flower image with Old Olive Ink. Color with Watercolor Pencils and a Blender Pen. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Flirty Flamingo Cardstock cut with the 2-1/8″ circle die. Glue tucked under the white circle at the bottom right with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Pumpkin Pie Cardstock cut with the 1-5/8″ circle die. Glue tucked under the white circle at the top right with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment with Old Olive Ink on Old Olive Cardstock 2-1/2 x 5/8. Glue over the circles.
- Bling: Add 2025-2027 Flat Pearls to the circles.
