Sketch Challenge Week With
It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and this week, we have a sketch challenge that we all used:
If you’ve been visiting with me in the last few months, you’ll figure out that the Ocean Friends Bundle and Friends Of The Ocean Designer Paper are some of my favorite products from our current Mini Catalog. Here’s why:
How would you not fall in love with these? Being from Maine, which is a lobster state, it was first on my list when the catalog debuted. I love that the critters are stamped using the Two-Step process:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Ocean Friends
- Cardstock: Shy Shamrock, Lemon Lime Twist, Calypso Coral, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Friends Of The Ocean
- Inks: Melon Mambo, Shy Shamrock
- Tools & Accessories: Ocean Friends Dies, Stylish Shapes Dies, Soft Waves Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Sunny Day Iridescent Dots
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Shy Shamrock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Emboss with the Soft Waves Embossing Folder. Glue to card front.
- Layer 3 & 4: Two Designer Paper Patterns each measuring 3-1/4 x 3-1/4. Glue layered at opposite angles. Glue to card front at the right.
- Lobsters: Stamp 2 lobsters with the lined image first using Melon Mambo Ink. Stamp the inside of each lobster with Melon Mambo Ink on scrap paper first and without reinking, inside the lobsters for a lighter color. Cut both lobsters with the die. Glue to the designer paper with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Layer 5: Designer Paper 3 x 1/2. Glue over the lobsters and to the left with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp with Shy Shamrock Ink on Calypso Coral Ink. Cut with the banner die from Stylish Shapes Dies. Glue over the strip of designer paper.
- Bling: Add Sunny Day Iridescent Dots to the background.
