Twisted In Time!
Welcome to our Create With Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a gorgeous painting of this tree, full of pretty colors:
I chose to keep with the tree image and add some of our beautiful Stampin’ Up! colors. I love how the foliage of the tree turned out on my stamped tree image:
I ended up using Mini Blending Brushes to add the three inks to my foliage image. I completed my card by adding some Iridescent Striped Trim Ribbon and Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Twisted In Time
- Inks: Azure Afternoon, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray
- Cardstock: Azure Afternoon, Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Basic White
- Tools & Accessories: Mini Blending Brushes, Iridescent Striped Trim Ribbon, Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Azure Afternoon Cardstock 8-1/2 x 5-1/2. Score and fold at 4-1/4.
- Layer 2: Melon Mambo Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
- Layer 3: Daffodil Delight Cardstock 4-3/4 x 3-1/2. Set aside.
- Ribbon: Wrap the ribbon around the daffodil layer and tie into a double-knot on the right. Glue layer to card front at an angle.
- Layer 4: Basic White Cardstock: Follow these steps:
- Stamp the tree trunk to the left with Basic Gray Ink.
- Stamp the sentiment at the bottom right with Azure Afternoon Ink.
- Use Blending Brushes to add Azure Afternoon, Melon Mambo & Daffodil Delight Inks to the tree foliage as shown in the photo below and stamp over the tree trunk image. Glue layer to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots to the top right corner.
