Create With Stamping Friends Challenge 859

March 6, 2025 Leave a Comment

Sketch Challenge Week!

Welcome! It’s Thursday Challenge time at Create With Stamping Friends and we have a sketch challenge that our team used this week:

I remember a long time ago when I first started stamping, I used sketches as my go-to to help me layout my cards. The one we are using today is pretty simple. I used stamping and diecutting for some of my layers:

I used several stamp sets as follows:

  • Elements Of Text
  • Textured Notes
  • Beautiful Butterflies

Stampin’ Up! Products Used:

  • Stamps: Elements Of Text, Textured Notes, Beautiful Butterflies
  • Cardstock: Pebbled Path, Basic Beige, Basic White, Petunia Pop
  • Inks: VersaMark, Pebbled Path
  • Tools & Accessories: Beautiful Butterflies Dies, Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powders

Card Recipe:

  • Card Base: Pebbled Path Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
  • Layer 2: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to card base.
  • Layer 3: Basic Beige Cardstock 5 x 3-3/4. Follow these steps:
    • Stamp the large circle text with Pebbled Path Ink from the Elements Of Text stamp set about 1″ from the bottom.
    • Stamp the branch image from the Texured Notes stamp set twice over the circle text with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and melt with the Heat Tool.
    • Stamp the butterfly on Petunia Pop Cardstock with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Cut with the die. Glue over the branches with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Stamp the sentiment from Beautiful Butterflies stamp set on Pebbled Path Cardstock with VersaMark Ink. Sprinkle with white embossing powder and melt with the Heat Tool. Cut close to the wording and cut the wording into two words. Glue above the butterfly with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Glue layer to card front.
  • Bling: Add Adhesive-Backed Textured Dots to the circle text.
