It’s A Designer Paper Theme!
Welcome to Create With Stamping Friends Creatively Simple! Connie and I create simple cards with a theme each week and for this month, this is our theme:
I love the Beautiful Bokeh Designer Paper and when paired with the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle, makes pretty cards. The designer paper comes in so many colors to feature the bokeh. You can see all of the different sized circles in the background:
I used one layer of designer paper, cut it at an angle and glued one part of it inside the card and one part on the outside, no waste!
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Beautiful Butterflies
- Inks: Balmy Blue, VersaMark
- Cardstock: Peach Pie, Lemon Lime Twist, Balmy Blue, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Beautiful Bokeh
- Tools & Accessories: Party Dots, The The Point Punch, Beautiful Butterflies Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Heat Tool, Basics Embossing Powders
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Peach Pie Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2. Use a pencil on the right front side and mark at 1-1/2″. Cut from the pencil mark down to the bottom left corner.
- Inside Layer: Basic White Cardstock 5-1/4 x 4. Glue to the inside.
- Layer 2: Beautifl Bokeh Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 4. Mark down with a pencil on the right down to 1-3/8 and on the left down to 5-1/8. Glue the top section to the front of the card. Glue the bottom section to the bottom of the inside white layer.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Balmy Blue Cardstock with VersaMark Ink. Stamp with VersaMark Ink and sprinkle white embossing Powder. Melt the powder with the Heat Tool. Glue to the bottom front on the angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Butterflies: Cut or stamp the following:
- Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock cut with the largest butterfly die. Glue above the sentiment on the angle.
- Peach Pie Cardstock with the small butterfly die. Glue over the large butterfly near the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the butterfly image on Basic White Cardstock with Balmy Blue Ink. Cut with the die and glue above the peach butterflye with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Bling: Add Party Dots above the butterflies.
