It’s A Scenic Theme!
Good morning and welcome to Creatively Simple at Create With Stamping Friends. Our theme for the month of August is Scenic:
During the month of August, we have a balloon festival that I always attend with my daughter Jessica and three grands, Kaitlynn, Kylee and Kassie. We like to go during the glow, which is at night. I opted to depict the balloon festival for our theme by using the Hot Air Balloon Bundle:
I started my card by choosing the colors from the Full OF Life Designer Paper:
Stampin’ Up! Products Used:
- Stamps: Hot Air Balloon
- Inks: Granny Apple Green, Berry Burst
- Cardstock: Daffodil Delight, Shaded Spruce, Lost Lagoon, Basic White
- Designer Paper: Full Of Life
- Tools & Accessories: Hot Air Balloon Dies, Deckled Circles Dies, Stampin’ Dimensionals
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Daffodil Delight Cardstock 11 x 4-1/4. Score and fold at 5-1/2.
- Layer 2: Full Of Life Designer Paper 5-1/4 x 3. Glue to card front 1/4″ from the left.
- Layer 3: Shaded Spruce Cardstock cut with the 4″ Deckled Circles Die. Glue to card front centered.
- Layer 4: Lost Lagoon Cardstock cut with the 3-1/2″ Deckled Circles Die. Glue to card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Hot Air Balloon: Stamp the balloon and basket with Granny Apple Green and Berry Burst Inks. Cut with the dies. Assemble to hot air balloon and glue to the left of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Sentiment: Stamp the sentiment on Daffodil Delight Cardstock with Berry Burst Ink. Cut with the label shape die. Glue overlapping the balloon and with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the right side.
- Clouds: Cut 2 of each cloud with Basic White Cardstock. Glue to circle background with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
