Pretty Color Strips for Two Backgrounds

May 10, 2023 2 Comments

Let Me Show You How To Peek Some Color Behind & Over The Dots & Spots Die!

I fell in love with two projects that were created by one of our Stampin’ Up! Artisan Designers recently. Madeleine Mrotzek is from Kissing, Munich and came up with these two ideas. If you belong to the Stampin’ Up! Facebook page, you can find her samples using different colors on the April 6, 2023 post.

I used three brand new colors on my two projects. I went with Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath and Lemon Lime Twist. For this first card, I threaded 1/8″ cardstock strips over and under the diecut holes from the Dots & Spots Die:

And for the 2nd project, I used 1/2″ strips of cardstock glued on the back of the diecut holes so the color peeks through the holes:

You can see below what the cardstock pieces look like from behind as well:

As far as the lettering from the Alphabet A La Mode Dies, I did not waste my cardstock piece by using it twice. I used the diecut lettering on one card and the cardstock piece with the diecut holes on the 2nd card. Learn how to create the cards with the strips and how I did the lettering with post-it note strips in my video here:
