I hosted a small Christmas gathering for a group of ten stampers yesterday. We are a group that meets every other month for a full day of papercrafting. We call our event “Stampers Til You Cramp”. and we always bring a whole days worth of projects to work on plus potluck for lunch. So this month we opted to do a Christmas potluck, a card swap, a Yankee gift swap and we created all day long. I’ll have photo’s later.
Today’s project is the card I made for the swap. I made ten of these and each girl received the card from me and I received all of theirs. I will post photo’s of all the swap cards in another post also. So this card uses the Woodland Embossing Folder for the background:

Here’s a photo of all the cards I made in a grouping…all 10 of them! The cute, adorable little bird is from the Swirly Bird stamp set that I hand cut. Did you notice the shading on all of the birch trees? I used a post-it note to shield the background and added the Smoky Slate Ink with a Sponge Dauber:

I have a new video today showing you how to do the sponging, plus a little trick on thie pine bough’s that I used. I also stamped the sentiment on Vellum Cardstock so that the background still peeks through:

I like this card so much that I’m posting it again as a single photo:

And here’s my video on how to create a card just like this one:
