For some of you that have followed my blog for quite some time, you all know that I don’t use Designer Paper that often. I sometimes feel like I’m cheating when using DSP instead of stamping. My style usually is more concentrated on using my cardstock colors. The card below is way out of my comfort zone and I still feel like I “cheated”: Last month, I taught a group of girls how to use “Vellum”. One point I made to them was that you have to think ahead when using “Vellum”. Why? Because “Vellum” is not kind to hiding glues. I always try to envision in advance “where I can hide my glue”. In this card, I glued the “Vellum” under the ribbon and I also added a “Mini Glue Dot” directly under the “Vellum” where the “Pearl Jewel” would be positioned:
Another tip: when stamping on “Vellum” make sure you give ample time for your inks to dry. It takes a little longer than stamping on cardstock. You can also use your “Heat Tool” to speed up the process but be careful, as you can burn your “Vellum”.

Very pretty, Debbie! The vellum works perfectly with this DSP!
Really nice cards Debbie! Classy is a good word to describe them

Your card is so pretty. SU makes such beautiful dsp and I love using it on projects but I can understand how you might feel. I often have to remind myself to not rely on it too much.
