I have this cute little tea bag holder for you today for Wednesday Wacky. What is really great about this holder is that you can make it any size you want depending on how large your paper is:

I’ll show you how to create one but keep in mind that you always start out with a square piece of DSP. You can make the holder as small or as large as you want, as long as you start out square.
Step 1:
For today’s project I used an 8″ x 8″ piece of DSP:

Step 2:
Using your Diagonal Plate on your Simply Scored Scoring Tool, score a line from corner to corner. Moving over 1″ on each side of your line, create two more scores:

Step 3:
Now fold your paper in half at the center line. Keeping the pattern you would like showing on the inside as you fold. Now fold the other two lines in the opposite direction. When you open up your paper, this is what you should see:

Step 4:
Flip your paper over so that the paper you don’t want showing is facing up. Pull the corner that has the score lines over to the other corresponding corner 3 3/4″ and fold. Using the other corresponding corner, fold on top of your first fold. This is what you DSP should look like now:

If you have any “tips” showing that are sticking out from the sides as you see above, trim so that the edges are even.
Step 5:
When you lay your paper on it’s side, this is what it should look like when all the folds are folded. It looks like a large “W”:

Step 6:
Press the two corners together that form your top and using any punch, punch through both pieces to form a handle:

Step 7:
Apply a little bit of glue to hold both pieces together. Add a bow:

If you are creating a holder that is larger, place whatever you are packaging in the holder in the center before you complete Step 4 to see how large your pockets need to be and fold from there. This is a cute and easy project. I’ve also created one in the past using 12″ x 12″ that you can add cards and envelopes in that makes for a cute hostess gift or customer gift.

I hope you have a great day today. Make sure you stop on by tomorrow for our Create with Connie & Mary design team projects and don’t forget to check out our brand spanking new Card “Create”-tions Subscription details!
