Vintage Vogue

Sneak Peek-Summer Mini is here! I get to rub it in that as a demo, I was able to pre-order anything I wanted from the Summer Mini. You, my customers get to order on May 1st.

For this sample, I am showing you two brand new items…..

First, did notice the “SPLASH” of color in the background? Remember all those shimmer paints I demo’d during the holidays and I showed you how to mix them with alcohol to make a shimmer spray? Well……..these are already mixed for you!! This new item is called “SMOOCH SPRITZ” and will be available to you in 4 different colors…..Gold Glow, Silver Foil, Vanilla Shimmer and Log Cabin. These pearlized accents sprays come in ready-to-use spray applicators. Great for cards, scrapbook pages, chipboard and more!! Also available is the “COLOR CATCHER”. This is a corrugated cardboard color catcher that protects your work area from ink overspray. Compact, portable and easy to assemble.

Now look closely at the bottom of the card, the Certainly Celery layer…….notice the emobossing? This also is a new item called “SQUARE LATTICE TEXTURED IMPRESSIONS EMBOSSING FOLDER”. If you click on the picture, you’ll get a closer look. I love this look!

The stamp set I used on this card is the “Vingage Vogue” which is still available in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I stamped the flower image 4 times and hand cut each flower. The “lace” is made by using the “Eyelet Lace Border Punch” on a thin strip of paper that I stamped with a wheel for added design, punched the edge with the border punch, then run the strip of paper through a crimper 3 or 4 times to loosen up the fibers in the paper. This makes the paper very flexible. I then added a strip of “Sticky Strip” on the edge of the Certainly Celery layer. Glue the lace strip to the sticky strip about a 1/2″ at a time and overlap and fold to create the “lace” look. I finished off the edge of the lace with a “Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon” and used my “Modern Label Punch” for the sentiment. Stay tuned tomorrow for another Sneak Peek!
