Want a versatile way to use your “Pillow Box Die”? Don’t have the “Pillow Box Die” yet? You’ll want it after you finish reading this blog post.
Look at what I made using the “Pillow Box Die”:
Start out by cutting 3 with your Big Shot and the Pillow Box Die in Real Red cardstock:
Score all of the score lines with your Bone Folder:
Sponge Real Red Ink along all of the edges:
Add Sticky Strip to the small fold:
Adhere all 3 pieces side by side until you have them all lined up as follows:
Using your Paper Snips, snip off the oval shape on each end and on the opposite end, trim close to the edges leaving a small lip:
Cut 3 panels of Real Red cardstock 2″ x 5″. Score at 1/2″ on the short sides:
Add Sticky Strip to the ends:
On 2 of the panels, add a small piece of Sticky Strip to the center:
Using a panel with Sticky Strip in the center, adhere to inside of box on the end where you snipped off all of the ovals. This will be the bottom of your box:
Continue to layer the 3 panels, alternating them around the box so that they overlap each other at different starting points. The panel without the Sticky Strip in the middle is adhered last:
Now you are ready to decorate you box as you like. In my sample, I used Basic Black and the Brights Collection Patterns Pack DSP. I used the Scallop Edge Border Punch for one of the edges of my Basic Black:
Add a handle. I made mine with Real Red cardstock and it measures 1″ x 9.5″. I decorated it with the Tasteful Trim Die in Basic Black and added Pearl Jewels for bling. I also added hearts from the Heart to Heart Punch and the I {Heart} Hearts Stamp Set:
