Tuesday Tips or Techniques-Triple Layer Stampin’!

July 31, 2012 5 Comments

Today I am showing you one of the cards we will be creating during my “Techniques III Class”. Once my Techniques Classes start, I always have girls ask “just what is a Techniques Class”? I thought I would preview one of the techniques for you and give you step-by-step directions to give you an idea of exactly what we do during our techniques classes. More information at the bottom of my post.

Triple Layer Stampin’ Technique:

Step 1:

You will need 3 pieces of Whisper White Cardstock measuring:

  • 2″ x 3 1/4″
  • 3″ x 4 1/4″
  • 4″ x 5 1/4″

Step 2:

You will need 3 pieces of Island Indigo Cardstock measuring:

  • 2 1/4″ x 3 1/2″
  • 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″
  • 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored and folded in half

Step 3:

Using the 3 Whisper White Cardstock pieces, layer on top of each other as shown above. Use just a tiny bit of Snail Adhesive so the pieces stay intact to each other.

Step 4:

Using the swirly image from the Creative Elements Stamp Set, ink using Baja Breeze Ink and stamp in different areas of your layers. Apply enough pressure on your stamp so that all 3 layers of cardstock are stamped with the image.

Step 5:

Stamp a chosen sentiment using Island Indigo Ink. Now stamp the flower from the Summer Solstice Stamp Set using Island Indigo Ink in different areas of your cardstock layers. Again, apply enough pressure so that the stamp inks on all 3 cardstock layers.

Step 6:

Now glue all of your layers as shown in the photo above, alternating the Whisper White layers to the Island Indigo layers.

Notice how the “white space” between the Whisper White Cardstock layers disappears when you add the colored cardstock layers? How cool is that!

I also added some Bakers Twine and a Vintage Faceted Designer Button:

Now for more information on my “Techniques III Class”.

Once you sign up, we meet in my home once a month for the next 5 months. You are committed to those five months. If for some reason you can not attend, I will have a kit ready for you to put together with full directions. Each class consists of two techniques and the cost is $10. You will create one card using each technique and you will also have a sheet of full directions to complete that particular technique. You will glue a 2nd sample to this sheet as a reference tool. If you would like more information, please contact me! Class is now almost full!
