Oh did we ever receive ice & snow the past two days. Dave had to chop down a few of our birch trees because the weight of the ice toppled them right over:

All of these birch trees are usually proudly standing upright:

You can see in this photo below, how thick the ice is on all of the branches. The sun is supposed to come out today so hopefully some of the ice will melt away so the trees can spring back upright. If they do not, we will have more trees to chop down and what a mess that would be!

As promised to you a few days ago, I have 3 projects from Trudy’s Workshop that was held last week. This was to be my last workshop for this year. In December each year, I give all of my customers 20% off on their Stampin’ Up! orders and my girls took advantage of this during the workshop. So you still have 2 weeks left to take advantage of this discount by placing an order through my Online Store listed at the end of my post:

For the first card, I demonstrated how easy it is to stamp and add a little bit of watercoloring by using a Blender Pen and ink from the inside cover of your ink pads. Have you ever colored this way? If not, all you do is squeeze the center of your ink pad together before you open the lid. By squeezing, you add ink to the inside cover. All you do is pick up a little bit of ink with the Blender Pen and color!

You can see where I left a lot of white-space in my coloring. This stamped image from the Market Fresh stamp set did not need a lot of color to make it stand out:

For card #2 I showed the girls how to use white ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock. I like how this looks. So clean!

I started by using a strip of scrap paper in the center as my mask and stamping partial flower images on the top and the outside of the scrap. Once my flowers were all stamped, I traced two lines using the scrap paper as my pattern with a White Signo Gel Pen. I then added the sentiment and popped a 3D butterfly over the same stamped butterfly. The stamp set used was Garden In Bloom:

For the 3rd card, all attendees created one to take home with them. The girls embossed the Rich Razzleberry Cardstock with the Elegant Dots Embossing Folder and then cut two layers using the Lots Of Labels Framelits Dies:

The stamp set used is the Wild About Flowers set and we added Pearl Jewels in the center of each flower. The stamped layer is popped using Stampin’ Dimensionals:
