This is week #5:
Halloween Theme – PPA5
This week we have a Theme Challenge. The rules are simple: create a project that best reflects this theme: Halloween! No tricks here… just treats! Get ready to dust off those witches, ghouls, and goblin stamps to play along with the Pals!
I decided I wanted to try and come up with a pumpkin using the SU die “Top Note”. I ran the Only Orange card stock first to get my shape. I ran the card stock through a second time with a texture plate to get a pumkin skin effect. I then used a retired set from Stampin’ Up! for the face (I can’t recall the name of the set). I stamped the face using Stazon Black and high-lighted all the features with my Uni-ball Signo Gel Pen. Notice how the facial features “pop” when adding the white! I also used the Stazon Black to sponge around the egdes of the Top Note cut-out to make it look Halloween-y. For the sentiment, I used a brand new stamp set called “Holiday Best”. You will be able to purchase this set on September 1st from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The item number is #115364 which has 4 stamps in the set. I stamped the sentiment with Stazon Black on Whisper White card stock and also stamped another image on the Only Orange card stock. I cut out the pumpkin from the Only Orange and added a Stampin’ Dimensional and layered it over the pumkin on the Whisper White image. I then used my Scallop Oval Punch with Only Orange Card stock and layered that over a third layered using the Wide Oval Punch and Old Olive card stock. I used a non-SU punch for the branches to add a decorative touch. Good luck to everyone!!
Debbie, this is so creative! I love how you texturized the pumpkin! The details are wonderful! Thanks for playing @ PPA!
What an adorable pumpkin.
On behalf of the Pals Paper Arts design team, thank you for playing @ PPA!
