The Great Pumpkin Blog Hop-Week #8

How is your week going so far? It’s Friday! And guess what I have for you today? Another submission the Terry’s “The Great Pumpkin Blog Hop”:

This is week #8 and there are 5 more weeks to go! I thought I would show
you a gift I made for Denise, one of my hostesses who held a workshop
recently.  The gift was a two-piece set:

I just love our “Glimmer Paper”. Did you know we now carry it in 3 different colors?  Red, Silver and the new Champagne! Today’s project includes the silver. Scroll down for the individual projects:

Do you recognize my little witch’s hat? I made it using the “Petal Cone Die”. I folded and glued all the flaps under and then glued a scallop for the base of the hat cut out with the “Scallop Die”. I cut (1) in Basic Black Cardstock and (1) using the cardboard from a packet of my Designer Paper. I embossed all of the black panels from the scallop and the petal cone shapes with the “Spider Web Textured Impressions Folder” first. So easy!

For the card, I used a layer of Old Olive Cardstock that was also embossed with the “Spider Web” folder and layered over Whisper White Cardstock with a base color of Basic Black Cardstock:

You can’t really tell from the photo but I sprayed both projects with “Shimmer Mist” that I made with “Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint” and a little bit of alcohol. If you click on the card above, you may be able to see it.
