Watermelon….I love watermelon. How about you? So refreshing and good for you! Ever since I purchased Stampin’ Up!’s “Ovals Collection Framelits”, I saw watermelons in my future. Here is what I completed with the framelits:

I started out with a piece of “Wild Wasabi Cardstock” cut at 6″ x 5 1/2″ and folded in half on the 6″ side. I then used the largest framelit which has scallops on the oval shape and cut through both layers, leaving the fold intact.
The 2nd step was to cut a half-oval using “Whisper White Cardstock and the oval 2 sizes smaller. Glue to the front of your wasabi layer and trim to fit.
Step 3 uses the 2013-2015 In Color Pack Stack and cut a half-oval using the next size smaller than the white layer.
At first I had a hard time figuring out what to use for the watermelon seeds so that they would show up large enough. I dug out my “Bird Punch” and punched out a few leaves in “Basic Black Cardstock” and trim off all of the leaves with my “Paper Snips” and glued them in place. How cool is that? And I took a bite from the top of the watermelon by using the “7/8″ Scallop Circle Punch”!
I made another single-layer watermelon and cut it up to get two wedges out of it and glued the two wedges to the front of my watermelon with “Stampin’ Dimensionals”. I finished my card by added a sentiment from the stamp set “Sketched Birthday” inked in “StazOn Jet Black Ink” and cut out with the “Bitty Banners Framelits Dies”.
