My Technique Tuesday Live Facebook Class has come and gone for July. If you missed it, I have the video at the end of my post for you today!
If you watch my video, you’ll see that I demonstrate the Foil Embossing Technique and did you know that there is actually a wrong and a right way of doing this? I show you the difference. These are the two cards I made using the same supplies:
The Stampin’ Up! supplies I used on this card are from the Best Route Suite and include:
- En Route Stamp Set
- Best Route Designer Paper
- Best Route Enamel Shapes
- Maps, Etc. Embossing Folder
- Best Route Cardstock Pack
The only difference between the two cards is the pattern on the designer paper layer:
I flipped the designer paper over on this card:
The embossed foil is so pretty on these cards, or should I say handsome? And yes, I did use regular household foil! The tip is to glue it on regular cardstock first and then run it through the Big Shot Machine. The embossed “bumps” won’t flatten out this way.
Now you can watch my video and if your electronic device doesn’t allow it, I included a clickable link below the video:
