Now for Dave’s news:
Last week was such a blur. Dave and I traveled to his oncology appointment the night before because we had six appointments in one day. Phew! We are lucky that we can stay overnight at Sarah’s House. This place is so accommodating to cancer patients. 
We started our day of appointments at 7 a.m. which included a CT Scan and a Nuclear Bone Scan, by the time we arrived to meet with our oncologist, we were both pretty tired. It was a long day. To make this long story short, we were told that the last treatment Dave was on was working. The cancer has not spread, some of the spots on his bones are less and some are even gone. We did not expect this as Dave had a tough two weeks prior to these appointments. I cried on my way to get the car to pick Dave up at the entrance to the Cancer Center. Dave cried in the car. We are still numb. Dave was at the point of giving up because nothing was working. For a whole year now, nothing was going right. 
So what is next? Because the treatment was a little harsh on him, he will be starting a new course with the same two medications but at a lower dosage. We need this to work. I know you all are praying so hard for him. He has so much support and for that, we are thankful. We now need to pray real hard for the side effects to be minimal to none so his body can keep fighting. Dave is one tough cookie. He’s been through a lot but is still fighting. Thank you so much for praying and for thinking of us. We truly do appreciate you.
