Stampers For Others July Hop!

July 29, 2015 6 Comments

Watermelons anyone? My teammates the “Stampers For Others” hosted a Facebook Blog Hop on Monday. The theme this month was “Summer Fun”. What else screams summer than watermelon and I have plenty of coordinating projects to show just that!

Let’s start out with the card. I used the Circles Collection Framelits Dies with 3 sizes of circles. The cardstock used in all of my  projects today are Whisper White, Cucumber Crush, Melon Mambo and Basic Black. All of the watermelon seeds were created using the Tree Builder Punch. The sentiment comes from the Num Num stamp set:

My next project is a Curvy Keepsake Box. I cut the shape once using Whisper White Cardstock and the 2nd piece was Cucumber Crush Cardstock. I also cut a partial piece of Melon Mambo for the front and glued and layered it over the Whisper White Portion of my box:

I even added a small watermelon tag hanging from the handle with White Baker’s Twine. The tag was created using various sizes of circle punches. Once layered, I cut the circle in half:

For the tag I cut two layers of cardstock and used the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch for the shape. The sentiment is also from the stamp set Num Num:

Another great project utilizes the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies. I again layered the 3 cardstock colors to resemble a watermelon and once assembled, I tied a piece of Cucumber Crush 1″ Dotted Lace Ribbon around the base. The sentiment is from the stamp set All About Sugar:

Once the treat bag was assembled, I added a pull-out card to the inside. Don’t you just love the little watermelon pull-tab? The sentiment for the card is from the Friendly Wishes stamp set. All of my sentiments are stamped using Memento Black Ink by the way!

And finally, my last project is created using the Berry Basket Die. I added two bows on the side of the handles using the Bow Builder Punch. How cute is that?

I hope you enjoyed my watermelon-themed projects for today. If you haven’t visited my Facebook page, click HERE to get there and “Like” my page! Our group hosts a Facebook Hop each month and we have some great projects to show you each time.
