It was all about techniques during my Stamp With Me Class recently. Have you ever heard of the Retiform Technique? It’s where you sponge a bunch of lines and in this case one circle and then fill in each area with stamped images. The circle idea was from a card I saw on Pinterest and I love the way it came out:

I used the Best Catch stamp set and you better hurry and grab it now as it’s retiring by May 31st. Our Last Chance List posted this week and there’s lots of products retiring! Make sure you visit my Online Store before it’s too late. Here are a few more photos of the detail on the Retiform Technique:

Next up is the Masking Technique. I used a rectangular-shaped post-it note and placed it in the center of the stamped layer. Once it was in place, I stamped around the post-it note. Once the Post-it note is peeled away, you have a nice blank area to add a large sentiment to:

The stamp set I used on this one is the Positive Thoughts set that will be carrying over to the new catalog in June. The sentiment though, is retiring from the Seriously The Best stamp set:

If you are on Facebook and haven’t joined my Stamp & Ink Designs Group, you are missing some fabulous live classes. Attendees all get to stamp live with me. Here’s the link to my group page:

I love the style of your Best Catch card!! Very unique & interesting.
The one-layer "friend" card is also an excellent idea. Looks dimensional w/o extra postage.
Your sentiment of the day is also excellent. My brother is fighting cancer & this is the way he feels right now. Thanks for sharing.
