Sneak Peek Inspired Thoughts Bundle! - Debbie Henderson, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

I saw a really neat photo while surfing the internet recently and it peaked my interest. I wish I would have saved it so I could show you. It was a photograph of some black and gray trees with one tree highlighted in red. That’s how this card was born, by using the photo as inspiration. The Inspired Thoughts Bundle (#155529) is a bundle that I am one hundred percent sure you will fall in love with. The stamp set is all sentiments paired with dies that cut the trees and other shapes.

As you can see on my card, the tree die will cut a row of 4 trees with a small sliver of ground that you can turn into dirt, grass or snow. Whatever your heart desires. I cut my first set of trees with Smoky Slate Cardstock and glued them about 1-1/4″ from the bottom of the Basic White Cardstock layer. I then used a Water Painter and added Smoky Slate Ink that I water-colored below the trees.

My next step was to cut a 2nd set of trees with Basic Black Cardstock and glue them about an inch below the Smoky Slate trees.

Using the four dies to create the bushy tree, I cut all four using Real Red Cardstock and glued them over tree #3 by first fluffing up some of the little diecut leaves and then layering each layer to create the tree shape:

Finish off the card by stamping the sentiment on a 1/2″ wide strip of Smoky Slate Cardstock with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Cut the ends and glue in place using Stampin’ Dimensionals:

Basic White Cardstock layers:

Card Base: 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.

Layer #2: 5″ x 3-3/4″
