Sneak Peek #2

June 20, 2011 1 Comment

Did you know Stampin’ Up! is going to introduce 5 new In-Colors on July 1st? How exciting is this? Each year, starting next year, the first 5 In-Colors will be retired and 5 new ones added. This means 10 In-Colors each year to play with!

This card showcases 2 of the new colors: Lucky Limeade and Wisteria Wonder. I used both the ink and the cardstock in this sample.

Did you also happen to notice the new border punch? How quick and easy to layer and decorate your card with the new Lace Ribbon Border Punch. You can use it as a layer or you can use it underneath another layer as a snippet of color:

The stamp set I used is called Love & Care and is a Hostess Set available in the Summer Mini Catalog. With the onset of the new Idea Book & Catalog, we tend to forget about the Summer Mini. You can earn it for free by having a workshop with me!

Card Supplies:

  • Cardstock: Whisper White, Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder
  • Inks: Lucky Limeade, Wisteria Wonder, Pretty In Pink, VersaMark
  • Stamp Set: Love and Care
  • Tools: Top Note Die, Big Shot Machine, Lace Ribbon Border Punch
  • Accessories: Designer Buttons

Stamp the background layer first with VersaMark Ink on Wisteria Wonder Cardstock! Notice the little fake thread in my button? I threaded a little snippet of Lucky Limeade cardstock through the holes and glued them in place with a Mini Glue Dot. Add another Mini Glue Dot to secure to your card!

Thank you for visiting me again today!

Love the tip about using a bit of cardstock instead of thread in the button. Beautiful card!
