Sealed with Love Simply Sent Kit!

February 5, 2013 3 Comments

You’ve seen me post the following promotion that was available a few weeks ago. For those of you that purchased this kit, I thought I would show you 2 more uses for the products you received as I played around with the items. How versatile you will find out this kit is!

This is what came with your kit:

10 notecards: 5 ea. of 2 designs; 3-3/8″ x 4-9/16″. 10 double-sided envelopes: 4-3/4″ x 3-7/16″. 20 printed paper buttons. 10 pieces Whisper White/Real Red Baker’s Twine: ea. 10″  24 Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This is what the kit is intended for:

You stamp on the note card and glue it in the center of the envelope, fold the flaps, add the paper buttons on with Stampin’ Dimensionals to use as fastener’s and use the Baker’s Twine to fasten closed!

Pretty neat huh? The envelopes are double-sided so you can “pick your pattern”:

Now for my experiment:

How cool is that? See what I did with the same exact supplies? First up is the gift card holder:

I folded 3 of the flaps and glue them together , leaving one of the shorter flaps for the top unglued and decorated. I’ll explain how to create the flower at the bottom of the post. This little envelope is large enough for a gift card:

Next up is a goodie box. This time I glue 3 of the envelopes together and folded down the front and back flaps and glued the same 3D flower I used on the gift card holder:

I started out with one envelope and folded the 2 widest flaps toward the center of the envelope and glued them in place. I then glued one envelope fully opened on each side of envelope #1 by overlapping the open flaps over the glued flaps from envelope #1. You now should have 3 envelopes glued to each other in a row.

Fold the 2 envelopes on each side on the score lines, upwards to create the front and back “walls”. Now fold the side flaps inwards and glue them to each other to form your sides. All that is left to glue are the top flaps to form the front and back flaps to glue the flowers to. Glue those 2 flaps to the fronts as shown below:

The flowers were created using the Blossom Punch. I punched 2 flowers with Pool Party Cardstock and glued them together with a Stampin’ Dimensional. For the center I used the Boho Blossoms Punch and punched one of the large flower using Calyso Coral Cardstock and glued to the center of the flower. Finish off by adding a Stampin’ Dimensional to the back of the paper button and gluing to the center of your flower.

Two projects that take less than 15 minutes to create. Need something quick for Valentine’s……there you go!

Thanks Debbie…I was hoping to see something other than the way they were intended to use the pieces for.
