Hi Everyone! How was your Christmas? We at Create with Connie & Mary took last week off to spend time with our families and this week we are ready to “Ring In The New” for our Saturday Blog Hop. Here is my card:
I used the Star Of Light stamp set to repeatedly stamp the image in the background to resemble fireworks. And I added some star-shaped gold and silver Metallic Enamel Shapes to the center of each burst:
I love how the Island Indigo Cardstock and Ink looks paired with Soft Sky Cardstock & Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper. Isn’t this a great match?
Card Supplies:
- Stamps: Star Of Light
- Inks: Island Indigo
- Cardstock: Soft Sky, Island Indigo, Whisper White, Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper
- Accessories: Metallic Enamel Shapes
- Tools: Stampin’ Dimensionals
Here are the steps to creating this card:
- Card Base: Island Indigo Cardstock 11″ x 4-1/4″. Score and fold in the center at 5-1/2″.
- Layer #2: Whisper White Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Stamp the burst image repeatedly using Island Indigo Ink and glue to card base.
- Layer #3: Pumpkin Pie Glimmer Paper 2-1/2″ x 4″. Cut at and angle from the 2″ down to 1/2″. Glue over the white layer at the bottom.
- Layer #4: Soft Sky Cardstock 5-1/2″ x 1-1/8″. Place over the card front at an angle without gluing and stamp the sentiment using Island Indigo Ink. Glue in place using Stampin’ Dimensionals and trim the ends even.
- Bling: Add gold & silver stars in the center of each burst using the Metallic Enamel Shapes.
