RemARKably Creative July Blog Hop!

July 17, 2017 1 Comment

Welcome to our July RemARKably Creative Blog Hop. This month we are featuring “Anything New & Current”. I just know you are going to receive some fabulous inspiration by visiting all of us that are participating in the blog hop!

This is the card that I created for you today. I’ve been experimenting with the Embossing Paste for an Online Class I will be hosting so I thought I would also use the paste for my card:

Did you notice the color of my bricks? I colored the Embossing Paste using the Soft Suede Ink Refill. I’ll show you how if you keep reading. I also used the Coffee Cafe Bundle for my stamped and die-cut images and the Coffee Break Designer Paper.

I even used a Window Sheet cut in the shape of the top of the cup to make a clear dome. It’s hard to capture in the photo. It makes the topper look so realistic. Now are you ready to learn how to color the Embossing Paste?

Step 1: Using a Silicone Mat, add a clump of the Embossing Paste. TIP: Make sure you screw the cover on the jar right away so the paste on the inside doesn’t dry up. Add a few drops of the Soft Suede Ink Refill to the paste:

Step 2: Mix with the Palette Knife until the ink refill is evenly distributed:

Step 3: Place the mask over the cardstock, spread the paste over the mask and lift the mask to reveal the colored brick:

TIP: Rinse/wash your mask immediately as this paste dries quickly. I rinse mine using the water from my faucet and use my fingers to dissolve the paste.

Now it’s time for you to visited my teammates. Make sure you visit each one by clicking on the names in the list below. Thanks for stopping by to visit me today!

Great idea to pair the brick wall with the coffee cup!
