RemARKably Created December Blog Hop!

Hello and welcome to our December RemARKably Created Blog Hop. This month we are creating “Occasion Catalog Sneak Peeks” for our theme. Once you read through my whole blog post, I’ll direct you to the next stop in the blog hop.

The brand new stamp set I am using for the blog hop is Hedgehugs with the addition of Friendships Sweetest Thoughts. I created two cards for you today:

For the first card, I stamped the tree trunk on the Whisper White Cardstock layer first and then stamped a second time on a sliver of Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock:

The trick to doing this is to cut the Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock piece longer than the Whisper White Cardstock layer. Once you line-up the images on top of each other perfectly, trim the ends of the Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock so they are the same width.

The squirrel was stamped on a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock and fussy-cut, then glued in place.

Did you notice the little squigglies on the Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock layer? The image I used is from the Friendships Sweetest Thoughts stamp set. I thought the image was perfect to add a little detail to the grassy area:

Card #2 is just as sweet as the first card. Coloring was made easy by stamping the images first and then using a Blender Pen to “color with the lines”, meaning I used the stamped ink lines to push some color around:
