I’ve been trying to use up some “guts” that I have laying around my stampin’ area. One of those “guts” is a cover for a Post-It Note. This is what I made with it today:

How cute is that and what a cute gift to include with a card! Want to learn how to make one? Follow these steps:
Step 1:

Cut a piece of cardstock measuring 3 1/2″ x 7 1/4″. Score at 3 1/2″ and 3 3/4″. Using a Sponge Dauber and Chocolate Chip Ink, sponge all the edges of your cardstock piece. Emboss with the Finial Press Textured Impressions Folder.
Step 2:

Take a Post-It Note and split it into 3 packs (You can now make 3 of these!). Glue one of the packs to the inside of your cardstock piece, lining up to the top edge to your score line.
Step 3:

Cut 1 square scallop using your BigShot Machine and the Scallop Squares Duo with Whisper White Cardstock. Sponge the edges with Chocolate Chip Ink and a Sponge Dauber. Cut 1 bird body and 1 wing using the Bird Punch and Paisley Petals DSP. Sponge the edges with Chocolate Chip Ink and a Sponge Dauber.
Step 4:

Create a “cloud” stencil by using Whisper White Cardstock and your Scallop Circle Punch. Using a Sponge Dauber and Baja Breeze Ink, stencil clouds by overlapping your “cloud” stencil.
Step 5:

Cut 1 branch from the Bird Punch using Chocolate Chip Cardstock. The 2 tags are created with the Jewelry Tag Punch, Tiny Tags Stamp Set, Chocolate Chip Ink and Crumb Cake Cardstock. I added thread using a needle and tied a loop to insert through the branch.
Assemble and glue all of your pieces to the top of your Post-It Note Holder. The tags and the bird wing are popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Finish by adding a few Rhinestone Jewels and add an eye to your bird using the Chocolate Chip Stampin’ Write Marker:

Have fun with these!
