Good morning blog readers. How are you coming along on Holiday preparations? I can’t believe Christmas is just around the corner. I have everything purchased to start my holiday cooking and my recipe list all ready to go. My family travels 2 hours north to my parents for Christmas day and I bring all the “sweets” for the occasion. My sister Cheryl cooks the turkey and my brother Roger brings the ham. It makes things a lot easier for my mom when all she has to worry about is the potatoes, vegetables, gravy and the little additions. Last year there were 38 of us and we’ve added 3 more babies to the family this year. This is going to be the last year my parents will be in their home as they are aging and the house is just too big for them to take care of any longer. They will be moving to a senior housing sometime this summer so this will be the last big family get-together for Christmas. So sad.
Today I have another simple card for you:

How cute to use the “Pennant Punch” to make a little Christmas tree:

I also added a “Red Glimmer Paper” heart punched with the “Small Heart Punch”. The sentiment is from “Delightful Dozen” and the background layer is embossed with the “Finial Press Textured Impressions Folder.
Card Supplies:
- Cardstock: Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso, Confetti White, Red Glimmer Paper
- Inks: Early Espresso, Real Red
- Tools: Big Shot Machine, Finial Press Textured Impressions Folder, Small Heart Punch, Pennant Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Corner Rounder Punch
- Stamp Set: Delightful Dozen
- DSP: Holly Berry Bouquet

Debbie, I love your posts and find myself frequently copying your card ideas. I just wanted to comment on the change of family traditions. We lost my mother-in-law this year and she was the family "gatherer" and her home was the gathering place. It's really hard this year without her and the loss of that person and tradition. Everyone seems to be going their own way and doing their own thing. We're having to think about creating a "new tradition." Anita Ritchie
So pretty! I love the main panel being pretty CAS except for the beautiful tree and the sentiment! The heart is just the right touch of shine!
We've had to adjust our family Christmas since last year. Dad had a stroke and just doesn't get around very well. We've moved the celebrations to my sister's house (last year) and my brother's (this year) because the majority of their space is on one level and Dad doesn't have to maneuver steps to join the family. While it's not quite the same, we are so blessed to still be able to gather together and that is what we try to focus on.
