Paper Pumpkin Alternative Projects for Paper Pumpkin by Stampin’ Up! Facebook!

November 8, 2020 Leave a Comment

Twice a year, I have the pleasure of designing for Paper Pumpkin by Stampin’ Up! which is featured on their monthly Paper Pumpkin Facebook Group. If you are on Facebook, you need to belong to this group. Each month, Andrew & Cole go Live and show our alternative projects.

My first one was created with the instructions of only using the kit contents. I added a layer in the center by cutting up one of the envelopes. I love how the wreath pops on this red layer!

I stamped the sentiment on scrap paper first with Mint Macaron Ink and then stamped on the die-cut strip without reinking to create a lighter ink color. I did not stamp on the wreath, instead opting to leave it with the preprinted elements only. You can also see the embossing on the white layer that came that way in our kit this month:

For my 2nd project, I used contents from the kit, but added a calendar and an Easel Card Fold:

All of the die-cut layers are glued in place using Stampin’ Dimensionals, to hold the easel portion of the card open. I used two card bases for this one. The first one was scored at 2-1/8″ and folded in the easel shape. Because I wanted to keep the preprinted card portion on the flat part, the remaining fold portion at the top is white. I cut a piece off of a 2nd card 2-1/8″ wide so I could cover the white on the front easel piece:

And it does fold flat for mailing:

Next up, my final project was altering an embroidery hoop. Since I mailed all of these projects to Stampin’ Up!, I did not measure my hoop and no longer have it, but think is was 9″:

Some of the preprinted die-cuts were glued at the front of the hoop and some were glued to the back of the hoop. I added a white banner but all other layers are from the kit:

I hope you enjoyed all of my projects. It’s almost time for our November kit to be mailed out. You must be subscribed by November 10th to receive the November kit. If you send out gift cards for Christmas gifts, you will love this one!
