I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving celebration!
Now it’s back to work! Jaydee over at “The Paper Players” has posted a color challenge for this week. Check it out:

I seem to forget Stampin’ Up! has gold and silver cardstock. I have a package of each color neatly tucked into my cardstock shelf but just seem to never dig it out. I could have used “Silver Glimmer Paper” but thought ……here was my chance to use the silver!

Clean & Simple is also part of the challenge this week. Myself and most of my customers do not like clutter in our cards. We had a discussion about that at my latest “Big Shot Club”. They like to see cards they can peek at and recreate without getting discouraged. This is certainly one of those cards. There is still an ample amount of layering but it is not cluttered with elements. The Mica Flakes were hard to capture in the photo.
This is a close-up of the sentiment:

All I did for this one is stamp the “merry” from “Tiny Tags” stamp set with “Night of Navy Ink” on “White Shimmer Cardstock” and cut out with the “Small Oval Punch. Add 2 “Rhinestone Jewels. I layered that over a doily cut with the “Triple Layer Doily Punch” in “Night of Navy Cardstock”. and stuck it to my card front with a “Stampin’ Dimensional”. Simple!
Next is a close-up of the Christmas Tree. I stamped the image from “Lovely As A Tree” in “VersaMark Ink” and sprinkled “Silver Embossing Powder” and set with my “Heat Tool”. The cardstock used is the “White Shimmer Cardstock” cut with the “Framed Scallop Oval Die”. I added a few dots of “Tombow Mono-Adhesive” here and there on the tree and dropped some “Mica Flakes” and pressed down on them. Shake off excess. I completed the tree by adding a few “Rhinestone Jewels”. Once my oval panel was complete, I sprayed “Silver Smooch Spritz” on the whole panel:

Card Supplies:
- Stamp Sets: Lovely As A Tree, Tiny Tags

Beautiful!
Beautiful, Debbie! I LOVE the glitz and sparkle! Thanks for playing with The Paper Players!
This is very pretty…and I especially like how you did the sentiment layered over the doily punchout! Thanks for playing with us again this week!
This is so pretty Debbie. I just love how you used the Mica Flakes on the tree. The doily punch with sentiment is also just fantastic. Great job with the challenge. Thank you for playing along with The Paper Players!
How clever to combine the sentiment over the doily punch! And the silver embossed tree is extra gorgeous with the mica flakes!! So glad you joined us at The Paper Players!
Debbie, this is so pretty and such wonderful inspiration for the unopened jar of mica flakes sitting on my desk. Those sparkly buggers intimidate me. This is so pretty and such an eye-catching holiday card. Thanks so much for joining us this week at the Paper Players! 🙂 Hugs!
What a shiny, fun card, Debbie! I need to use more of those mica flakes; that jar is so huge that I think I'll have it for years to come! 🙂 I love the shine of them against the silver of the tree! Thanks for joining The Paper Players this week!
So pretty! I love that this card has shimmer and detail without being too 'fussy'. The embossed background is stunning against the silver paper (need to get some of that too!). Love your updated header on the blog too, so festive!!
The mica flakes and rhinestones are a perfect touch. I love your creativity!
