It’s Nance Leedy’s turn this week at The Paper Players Challenge and look below to see this week’s sketch challenge (I love sketch challenges!):

My Card:

I started out knowing I wanted to use Wisteria Wonder as one of my colors and then added the Cherry Cobbler. I needed something with a lighter shade to make the two other colors pop from each other so I added Pink Pirouette.
The flower was created by gluing a Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch in Pink Pirouette Cardstock right on the card for flower bases. I then cut (3) with the 5-Petal Flower Punch in Cherry Cobbler Cardstock and added a center from the Boho Blossoms Punch in Wisteria Wonder Cardstock. I inserted a Square Rhinestone Brad in the center of all the layers. I then pressed all the petals from all 4 layers towards the center and glued in place on the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional:

For my banner-like strip, I first stamped the Wisteria Wonder Cardstock with the En Francais Background Stamp inked in Cherry Cobbler Ink. Using the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Folder, I rolled Cherry Cobbler Ink directly on the impressions folder with my Brayer on the non-bumpy side. I then inserted my strip inside the folder and embossed my cardstock layer:

Stampin’ Up! Supplies:
- Cardstock: Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette
- DSP: In Color 2011-2013 Patterns Paper Pack
- Tools: Bouquet Blossom Triple Layer Punch, 5-Petal Flower Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Folder, BigShot Machine, Brayer, Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Inks: Cherry Cobbler
- Stamp Set: Four the Holidays
Oh, and after I completed my card and had it all uploaded, I noticed I omitted the horizontal strip from the sketch………duh! Did you notice?
Thanks for stopping by!

That's okay – I didn't put my sentiment in the right place! It is still a lovely card—cool color combo! Thanks for playing with the Paper Players this week!
Beautiful, Debbie! I LOVE the flowers. As for the missing strip…I never noticed! I was too busy looking at the gorgeous embossed banner! Thanks for playing with The Paper Players this week!
Wow Debbie, this is stunning. The flowers are gorgeous and they look funky with the square brads! Awesome colours too! Thanks for joining us at the Paper Players!
Hugs,
Lesley
Amazing card and love your color choices! No, I didn't miss the other horizontal piece. TFS!
Debbie, I think your card looks better without the horizontal strip, it would have distracted from the gorgeous flowers. It's a fabulous color scheme, too. So glad you joined the Paper Players this week

I just love those layered flowers and the shading on the embossed piece is wonderful. It never entered my mind to use a completely different color when inking the folder, but it has such a great effect! I agree that the horizontal piece would have pulled the eye away from the focal point flowers!! Awesome card!!
Debbie those layered flowers are fabulous! I really like how you added the pop of color to the embossed banner, too. Such a fun idea. Thanks so much for joining us this week at the Paper Players! 🙂
