The Paper Players Challenge-PP63

September 12, 2011 14 Comments

The Paper Players challenge for this week is a color combination by Nance. These colors compliment each other so well and I enjoyed coming up with my card for this week. Here are the colors we used:

And this is my submission for this week:

Me…..using lots of DSP? Not likely is it, but I did!

I was asked this question by one of my customers a few weeks ago “Do you ever start out creating a card with a thought and totally come up with something different?”……..yes, yes, yes. I started out this card thinking I was going to create 2 acorns with my ornament punch and totally went in a different direction. My acorns turned into ornaments:

Card Supplies:

  • Cardstock: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive Textured
  • DSP: Neutrals Patterns Paper Pack, Pocketful of Posies, Paisley Petals
  • Tools: Ornament Punch, BigShot Machine, 3 1/3″ Circle Die, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4″ Circle Punch, 1 3/8″ Circle Punch, Elegant Bouquet Textured Impressions Folder, Sticky Strip, Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Accessories: White Bakers Twine, Brads, Basic Gray Satin Ribbon
  • Inks: Old Olive
  • Stamps: Petite Pairs

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! Don’t forget to check the Create with Connie & Mary Website to find out what we have in store for you today!

Very cool ornaments! That's a pretty neat way to make them; I've never seem them done like that. I love the Basic Gray satin ribbon and that bit of scrunch and flagged tails is super! Thanks so much for joining us at The Paper Players this week.
