Keep It Simple, Sweetie-PPA8
I am a day late for Paper Pal Arts! My husband went fishing for two days and took along the camera. The first thing he told me when he got home was…….I’m sorry……..I fell in and the camera went with me! As long as he is okay……..I’m okay. It happened yesterday. He was in the process of taking a picture of his buddy Tom, stepped on a log and in he went. The first thing he did when he was “fished” back into the boat was to remove the memory card, out poured the water. Anyway, to make a long story short, he sat the camera on the dashboard and turned on the defroster. By the time he got home, it’s working. For how long, who knows.
For the week’s challenge, the Pals are sending us a “K.I.S.S.” (Keep It Simple, Sweetie) The following are suggested guidelines for creating a KISS card:
- Clean with lots of “white” space
- Simple Designs
- Minimum time to create
- Limited layers and embellishments
I had a really tough time keeping it simple. It took me forever to decide. I like layers. I started out with a texturz plate on Whisper White card stock. I used the Funky Forest standard wheel inked with Old Olive. I layered the strip over Old Olive cards stock. I inked the Just for You sentiment with Old Olive, punched out with the Large Oval Punch followed by a layer of Old Olive punched out with the Wide Oval Punch. I then added 3brads and ribbon. I used the Corner Rounder Punch to each corner.

I love your card, Debbie! The textured background is a great compliment to your border of Funky Forest trees! Love the back accents of black brads and ribbon! So smart looking with the Old Olive! Great job!
