I have 2 posts today so make sure you scroll down to read my first one!
Wednesday night was another workshop for me at Pam & Amy’s. This is a mother and daughter combination. We had lots of fun! Pam & Amy both requested a “fabric” workshop so I demo’d two cards using fabric:
The first card uses fabric available from Stampin’ Up! called “Deck the Halls”. Even though this fabric was found in the “Holiday Mini” that is now expired, the fabric is still available for purchase. I tore by hand, a strip of fabric about 1.5″ all the way across the length of the fabric for the red flower, basted a stitch all the way across and gathered the ribbon into a circle.
I added a “Jumbo Button” to the center of each flower to finish off my flower.
I used “Sticky Strip” on the ends to adhere them together. I then used a “1 1/4″ Circle Punch” and “Sticky Paper” to cut out a circle and glue to the back of the circle. The “Sticky Paper” is sticky on both sides so I then pressed the flower to my cardstock to glue in place. For the green flower, my strip was about 1″ wide.
To add a little bit of vintage to my flowers, I added a small bow made out of the “1/2″ Crochet Trim Ribbon”.
The sentiment was stamped using “White Craft Ink” and the stamp set “Heard from the Heart”.

Wow girl you are on a roll! Love the fabric! Wish I weren't so afraid of it!
