CAS-Elements of Style-Soften the Edges
Life gets a bit rough now and then and sometimes you need to soften the edges. Pals Paper Arts challenges you to do just that this week! Create a CAS card and round some corners – or adorn some corners…….whatever you need to do to take the edge off!

I decided to “soften my edges” by using the “Ticket Corner Punch” on my card. I was so busy thinking about my corners that I forgot all about the CAS part of the card. Once I was finished though, I thought OOPS! and I think I still qualify for a CAS card. I used my BigShot Machine and embossed my DSP with the Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Folder and then used my Sanding Blocks to “soften the edges” of my embossing:

Here is a close-up of the DSP that was sanded and I also sprayed my background with Smooch Spritz in Log Cabin:

Card Supplies:
- DSP: Neutrals Patterns Paper Pack
- Cardstock: Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Early Espresso, Whisper White, River Rock
- Inks: Early Espresso
- Tools: BigShot Machine, Vintage Wallpaper Textured Impressions Folder, Pennant Die, 1 3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, Bird Punch, Tasteful Trim Die, Ticket Corner Punch, Sanding Blocks, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Log Cabin Smooch Spritz
- Accessories: Rhinestone Jewels
- Stamp Set: Tagtistic

Wow! That texture really "pops", Debbie! Beautiful card!
Very classy! Love that background!
Your card is beautiful. I love the distressing on the embossing. Colors are fabulous. Hugs,
Debbie — Thanks for posting to the PPA Challenge. Your background is great and really softens the edges and creates a classy card. PALS Paper Arts Design Team
I love this card! Very appealing, as always! I like how you embossed the DSP and then distressed it….CLEVER!
