Welcome to our Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. Our theme this week was a little difficult for me. We all created a “One Layer Card”. I am a “betweener” when it comes to stamping. I don’t like busy but not super-simple either so this is what I came up with, hope you like it!

My card is a one-layer card with the addition of just a few Rhinestones in the background and the In-Color Bitty Bow on the mittens. Do you like how I added my coloring to the outside of each mitten?

- I started by stamping my mittens with the Smitten Mitten’s stamp set using VersaMark Ink and the masking technique. I sprinkled White Embossing Powder and used the Heat Tool to melt the powder.
- My next step was to stamp the inside of each mitten with images using Crumb Cake Ink. I love how you can build your own mittens with the many image choices.
- I then used my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to outline around the outside of the white embossing. It’s a little trick for making images pop!
- Finish off with a Tranquil Tide In-Color Bitty Bow, a few Rhinestone Jewels in the background and a stamped sentiment to complete the card.
