It was Gloria’s turn to be hostess for my Sassy Stampers and Lana’s turn for my Stampaholics during our November Club. Gloria is also part of my Adult Education Classes and because we only have an hour to make two cards during Adult Education, I always have everything cut and embossed for them ahead of time. We had made a similar card to this one in one of our classes:

Gloria had asked if I could show them how to create the Emboss-Resist Technique from the very beginning so that’s why I came up with this card using the Daisy Delight stamp set and Daisy Punch.

All of my attendees loved this technique. The ink colors used are So Saffron, Peekaboo Peach and Flirty Flamingo. Once all of the sponging was completed, we added a Stitched Shapes Dies circle and topped that with two layers of stamped and punched daisies.
Card #2 is from an idea I spied on Dawn Olchefske’s blog. We used the Many Mittens Dies to create this adorable penguin card:

Isn’t he fun? He was so easy to assemble after we had everything cut and punched:

There are 2 layers of Basic Black Cardstock mittens under one layer of a Whisper White Mitten. The thumb was cut off of the white mitten. It’s easiest to layer one black mitten under the white and then add the other mitten to the other side. The hat is also a mitten (the rounded part) and a small strip on top of that which is 1/2″ wide. The feet are from the same die set, using the sunburst die and cutting off some of the little triangles like this:

The nose is the little bow from the Holly Berry Builder Punch. I just love this little guy. He makes me giggle every time I see him! Our six month clubs end in December. If you are interested in being a part of a six-person group, let me know. You agree to order at least $25 a month, you take a turn once during those six months as hostess and earn free rewards and I send you kits just like this one in the mail each month! I have not done a club yet, as a demonstrator. Do you run your clubs renew every 6 months?
Yes, I run my clubs for six months with six members. They all need to place a minimum of at least $25 each month but most of them order much more.
