Today I am showing you a card I created a few weeks ago for a virtual Stampin’ Up! event that we were able to attend online. I saved the card until now to show you, because I want to tell you that the stamp set called Etched In Nature, which can be found on page 101 of the new catalog, has a little flaw in it. It was discovered during our online event.
Everyone that attended the event, was sent this stamp set we so that we could all create a virtual swap card with it, and some of the images are not stamping well. Stampin’ Up! has pulled this stamp set out of the store and will be improving the quality of the images. I’ll let you know when it becomes available.
I have a lot going on on this card. I have some Embossing Paste that I put on using the Palette Knives and the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks that are so smooth to use. You just place the masks over the cardstock layer, use the knives to smooth on the embossing paste and it literally only takes minutes to dry.
Once the Embossing Paste was dry, I took one of my Water Painters and dipped it in Pool Party Ink to add splatters to the background. Another neat product I used is the Gilded Leafing. Notice the gold stuff on my bird? That’s the Gilded Leafing:
I added Tombow Multipurpose Glue on selected areas of the stamped image and pressed the Gilded Leafing in place. It gives a project a “wow”!
