Mojo Monday is very welcomed in my household today……as you will notice in the pictures below, this is what we awoke to this morning:

The snow is beautiful! It’s supposed to change to freezing rain later in the day so I know we are in for a mess! Makes me just want to stay home and stamp!
This is the sketch challenge for today:

….and my creation. I decided to try and make my own stencils. I used the “Ornament Punch” with cardstock for now as I have on order from Stampin’ Up!, a package of “Acetate sheets” being delivered soon to try this stencil creation even deeper. As you can see, it worked.

I used my “Sponge Daubers” (love those!) to dab on the ink slowly and create some depth using different shades of ink. Don’t forget to hold on to the punched image from you cardstock also, this will serve as a mask when layering! The inks used in this card were ” Close to Cocoa, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red and Rose Romance (retired, any pink will do). I then used my “Shimmer Paint Platinum” to add the silver to the strings attached to the ornaments, again with my “Sponge Daubers” and also to the edge of the “Whisper White” circle. These “Shimmer Paints” have been very popular this season from the Holiday Mini Catalog. The catalog expires on January 4th so hurry and stock up now!! We demonstrators have all loved these shimmer paints and are in hopes that they will be offered in the new catalog in July. They aren’t just for the holidays!!
