Did I forget to mention to you how much fun I am having as a Merry Maker on the Merry Monday Challenge team? Leslie makes it fun by having us take turns picking challenges. This week’s challenge was set up by Margaret, take a look:
Such luscious colors aren’t they? I decided to use snowflakes and throw in some Gold Foil:
I used three layers of Very Vanilla Cardstock. I cut a hole in my stamped layer using the Ovals Framelits Dies first then added the background stamped with the Dictionary stamp. It’s a little hard to see as I stamped it very lightly by stamping on scrap paper first and then re-stamping without re-inking. Then I added my snowflakes, Rhinestone Jewels, and the Gold Foil:
I used two ovals to cut the frame and then embossed using the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder. This panel is glued in place with Stampin’ Dimensionals for height. For the Gold Foil strip on the bottom, I embossed it with the Scallop Embossing Folder and tied Gold Baker’s Twine around it:
- Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Gold Foil
- Inks: Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz
- Stamps: Snowflake Soiree, Delightful Dozen
- Accessories: Gold Baker’s Twine, Rhinestone Jewels
- Tools: Big Shot Machine, Ovals Framelits Dies, Scallops Embossing Folder, Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder, Stampin’ Dimensionals

First glance took my breath away – still does….LOVELY and love all of the gold…what a fabulous idea to cut out the frame using that EF…one of my all time favorites – so rich and beautiful!
