Yay, we have a new challenge at Merry Monday this week! I hope you plan on joining us and adding a card to our gallery. All you need is a tree on your card per Kathy’s challenge:
For some reason I did not feel like stamping this time and I opted to created a 3D-ish kind of card:
I used half of a scalloped circle and folded in opposite directions….mountain folds and valley folds…to come up with the tree. If you use designer paper with two different patterns on each side, both patterns peek through from folding. I added Stampin’ Dimensionals between the folds also to make the layers pop:
I also used Gold Shimmer Paper which is a little difficult to capture on my photo. The shimmer is so striking. The only stamping on my card is the sentiment that I stamped and flagged the ends to make a banner and glued it in place using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Great minds think alike! When I saw that trees were the inspiration this week I thought of this technique that I've wanted to try again. And as I scrolled through the DT cards I saw your beauty. Love it! Great paper on the tree and love the glitter paper!
