I have been doing so many Facebook Live Classes that I am buried trying to load all of my projects here for you. I should be caught up within the next week or so. These two cards use stamp sets from our 2018 Sale-A-Bration Catalog which expired on March 31st. You can no longer earn these two stamp sets for free BUT…….did you noticed the Basket Weave Embossing Folder inked background on the card on the right? I’ll talk more about this embossing folder in a few minutes. First let’s look closely at the card on the left:
I used the Eclectic Expressions Sale-A-Bration stamp set and actually copied a sample from the catalog. I changed up the colors. I love how easily this card came together!
Now let’s take a look at the 2nd card which uses the Blossoming Basket Sale-A-Bration stamp set and I’ll discuss the Basket Weave Embossing Folder below:
Why is the dry embossing showing up in Daffodil Delight? That’s because I opened up the embossing folder and pounced my ink pad on the inside (the side with the Stampin’ Up! logo), placed my Whisper White Cardstock inside and embossed by running it through my Big Shot Machine. This is called “Inked Embossing”. See it even better in this close-up photo:
The basket, butterfly and tag were all stamped in Basic Black Ink and the images were colored with ink pads and a Blender Pen and then hand-cut all of the images. A trick I showed my girls was to use a 3/4″ Circle Punch to cut a hole below the handle of the basket. this gives you a starting point for your scissors.
