
I recently spied a beautiful card on Pinterest and fell in love with the buffalo check and Christmas trees that were used on the card. I wanted to recreate it as close as I could and yes, I do look for inspiration at times when I’m too tired or my creative juices aren’t working, to come up with my own design.
I actually used this card as my project for our monthly Facebook Hop for a group of demonstrators from Maine. Let’s take a closer look:

I used the Pine Tree Punch five times with Gold Foil Sheets, Silver Foil Sheets, Sparkle Glimmer Paper, Real Red Glimmer Paper and Gold Glimmer Paper. It’s shimmers and shines so much in person:

The two trees in the back are glued flat and the three trees in the front are glued with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I love the look of the Buffalo Check stamp for the background. I just inked up with Memento Black Ink by placing my stamp image facing up, and positioned my card base on top. I then added a piece of scrap paper on top and rubbed with my hands to transfer the image:
