Welcome to a Saturday Blog Hop at Create with Connie & Mary. Our theme this week is Cards For Kids, I have been featuring the Darling Donkeys stamp set all week for my Stamp Set Feature and this is Day #5. Isn’t this the cutest card for kids?

I used the “masking technique” on this card so that one image appears behind the other. I have three granddaughters (Kaitlynn, Kylee and Kassie) and had them in mind when I created this card. I colored everything for a girl card of course! Here are a few more close-up photos:

Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Purple Posy Cardstock 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. Score and fold at 4-1/4″.
- Layer #2: Petal Pink Cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″. Emboss using the Painted Texture Embossing Folder. Glue to card front.
- Layer #3: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/2″ x 3-1/4″. Stamp two of the donkeys using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink side-by-side. Stamp the one on the right on a Post-It Note and hand-cut. Place over the same donkey on the white layer. Stamp the third donkey overlapping the Post-It note (masking technique). Remove Post-It note. Color the donkeys with Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight, Purple Posy, Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. Stamp the confetti image around the donkeys with Petal Pink Ink. Stamp the sentiment to the left of the donkeys using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. Glue layer to card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
