Yes I mean duo! Hi Everyone, I have two projects to show you today and they are a duo. Years ago I had pinned something on Pinterest for myself and my granddaugther Kaitlynn to try “someday”. We still haven’t tried this together yet but now that I’ve made one, I’m definitely going to do this next time when she visits. What am I talking about? Keep reading:

Notice the new stamp set on the card and my 3D project? This stamp set can be found in the Stampin’ Up! Occasions Catalog and it is called In The Meadow. Love all the nature-inspired images included in this set. So if you take a gander at the project below, you’ll see what the 2nd part of my duo is:

And here are the both of them sitting side-by-side. Isn’t the scenery I created on both projects breath-taking?

I used popsicle sticks for my 3D project that are turned into a puzzle. They are not glued together and look like this when you pick them up:

I think it would be neat to create a large enough envelope with the Envelope Punch Board to include both projects together. When the recipient opens the envelope, the popsicle sticks would fall out and they would have to put the puzzle together. So let me show you how I did this.
Step 1:
You will need 9 popsicle sticks and a Whisper White Cardstock piece. I made the cardstock piece a little longer than the total length of the popsicle sticks just in case. Lay the popsicle sticks together side-by-side and add multipurpose glue to the back of the cardstock piece. Press in place over the popsicle sticks. Trim to fit on the ends.

Step 2:
Stamp the deer and the tree images using Memento Black Ink.

Step 5:
Color the images using your inks and an Aqua Painter. I used Soft Sky, Old Olive, Crumb Cake & Smoky Slate Inks:

Step 6:
Flip the popsicle sticks over and using an Exacto knife, cut in-between each stick:

You now have all of your puzzle pieces that can be mixed up for the recipient to put back together! How neat!

It was actually my brother’s birthday yesterday and I mailed this to him. Can’t wait to find out how silly he thinks I am!

Love, love, love it! Beautiful job on both and I'm going to get some Popsicle sticks today! A super project and such fun to send with a card. This stamp set is one of my faves, too! A million thanks. You are so talented!
Oh Debbie, I think this is awesome. First of all, I love this beautiful meadow scene, it reminds me of the movie Bambi, so sweet, fabulous coloring.
Then, I'm really LOL with the puzzle you sent your brother, I think he will have a kick out of this when he opens the envelope and the sticks fall out, what a great idea this is Debbie, I think this would be awesome for children's cards, you make the card and include the puzzle, brilliant!!!!!
Thank you so much for sharing.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
