I held a workshop yesterday afternoon for Holly and her friends. What a great time we had and what a great group of girls! Thanks for having me. This is what I presented Holly as a gift for hosting a workshop:
I made all of these gifts as a Valentine’s package. The first item is a white candle that I purchased. I stamped the images on white tissue paper and cut using my “Paper Snips” as close to the image as possible. Place the cut out images on the candle and with your “Heat Gun”, apply heat very carefully and not to close, so that the wax will start to melt and it will automatically suck the tissue paper image into the wax. I’ve learned just lately to cut out a piece of wax paper and wrap it around the candle before you heat. This helps to hold everything in place and easier to heat. I have not tried it yet but it seems to make alot of sense. I used the I {Heart}Hearts stamp set and wrap in a cello bag, topped it off with a tag using the “Small Tag Punch” layered with the “Large Tag Punch”.

The sweet treat is a cello bag topped with the “Top Note Die” and the “Big Shot”. Again I used the “I {Heart}Hearts” stamp set and the “Teeny Tiny Wishes” stamp set for the sentiment. Punches used are “Modern Label Punch”, “Heart to Heart Punch” and “Word Window Punch”

This was a doorprize I presented. A roll of ribbon from Stampin’ Up! packaged in a cello bag. Punches used are “Scallop Circle Punch” and the new “Small Heart Punch”. The stamp set in “Vintage Labels” from the Occasions Mini Catalog.

The second project I demonstrated was an Easter Triangle Box. The pattern comes from the Stampin’ Up! website. If you would like a copy, email me and I will gladly send it to you. I used “Sticky Strip” to adhere the edges together. This “Sticky Strip” is amazing and easy to use. I would recommend it to anyway that wants to create 3-D projects. It eliminates the messy-ness of glue. I used the “A Good Egg” stamp set. The punches: “Modern Label Punch”, “Word Window Punch” and “Scallop Border Punch” and added a few brads to add some bling. Fill a cello bag with goodies to finish off your project.

The girls all worked on this next project and got to take it home with them. The stamp set is called “Great Friend”. We inked up the butterflies in “Old Olive” and “Pumkin Pie” inks. The branch in “Close to Cocoa”. One butterfly was inked on a separate piece of paper and cut out so we could “pop” it on the card with “Stampin’ Dimensionals”. I changed up the card a little by having the girls use “Shimmer Paint” mixed with the “Old Olive” ink refill. I mixed 50/50 and we used “Sponge Daubers” to ink our stamp. The shimmer paint I used was the “Champagne Mist”. What a beautiful effect this added to all of their cards.
